Gold again!
For the second time in four years, Kilworth House Hotel has scooped the top prize in the East Midlands Annual Regional Awards. The ‘Small Hotel of the Year Award’ was presented at a black-tie ceremony held in October. The award is in recognition of the highest level of customer service and customer experience across the five counties in the East Midlands.
The judges commented that “All hotels had exceptional high standards, and an ongoing interest in customer care and service”, and that Kilworth House was simply “beautiful” with “caring and friendly staff”.
The Hotel will now go forward to the national finals held in London in the spring, to compete with all other regional winners in the same category.
A grand arrival
In May, Kilworth announced the arrival of a Baby! - A ‘Baby’ Grand in the Orangery. The piano will be used by our resident pianist, Ray Moore, during Sunday lunches in the Orangery.
Ray’s musical career began as a musician in the army. On leaving in 1963, he joined the Band of Welsh Guards in London. His musical engagements have been varied – including playing in New York bars, playing for the Investitures at Buckingham Palace, and now his best ‘gig’ by far – Sundays at Kilworth House! Ray also runs his own school of music in Northampton where he teaches piano and keyboard.
Why not join Ray on Sundays throughout the year and treat you and your family to a delicious three course Sunday lunch. Sunday lunches are served from 12 noon until 2.30pm in the Orangery.

Hedge your bets
Kilworth House in conjunction with Off Limits Corporate Events, invites you to try an event with a difference. Hedge Your Bets is a unique event that will certainly make your evening a success. An interactive question based event, teams have to compete neck and neck along the race course. Your nominated Jockey will mount the most finest of fillies and negotiate the fences and hurdles as they make their way around the track. This is a quick fire, buzzer based, interactive evening which concludes with a simulated race to the finish; this will provoke a lot of fun for all taking part.
Martin Stephens, Director of Off Limits said "Hedge Your Bets is an exceptional event that has a great twist on the classic Race Night. Incorporating questions, buzzers and large horse costumes, we feel that we can really offer a unique evening event. This is not a quiz evening, it is not a Race Night, it is something that is quite exceptional."
The Crystal A'maze'd team building day is something that will inspire teamwork, cooperation and communication in a fun and safe environment. Themed alongside the classic television programme, Crystal A'maze'd requires teams to travel through the zones of the maze, completing a series of physical and mental challenges along the way. The more success they have, the more time they spend in the finale activity, the Dome.
